It’s a Texas Division 1 gymnastics team fans have been waiting for. Texas State will add a women’s gymnastics program, as reported by local reporter Jakob Rodríguez. The university will fund the team with at least $1.2 million annually beginning in FY2028, meaning the team could start as early as the 2028 season.
The Bobcats are slated to join the Pac-12 in 2026, giving the conference another member for gymnastics. The university will join Boise State, Oregon State, Southern Utah, and Utah State in the conference.
