It’s here! It’s Nastia Liukin Cup weekend and the field is almost set! Qualifiers from this weekend’s events will travel straight to Louisville, Kentucky to compete in the Cup.

At the Metroplex Challenge, Alicia Zhou (Stanford, ‘26), Jordis Eichman (UCLA, ‘25), Kelise Woolford (Georgia, ‘25), and Avery Moll (Georgia, ‘25) reached the senior elite qualification score of 50.00.
Meet Previews
Kentucky Winter Classic, Kentucky
One of the last chances for qualifying to the Nastia Liukin Cup, this meet will include many top gyms including Gym X-Treme, Silvia’s, First State, and Cincinnati. As a result, top competitors could include Gabriella Van Frayen (Kentucky, ‘25), Shyla Bhatia (Denver, ‘25), Kylee Bromley (Arizona State, ‘25), and last year’s Nastia Liukin Cup junior champion Ella Kate Parker (Alabama, ‘26).
WOGA Classic, Florida
More top gyms will attend the WOGA Classic, which will feature both level 10 and elite competition. The level 10 portion is the final qualifier for the Nastia Liukin Cup and competing gyms include WCC, WOGA, and Texas Dreams. Top potential senior qualifiers could include Bradley Burton (Arkansas, ‘25), Quincy Walters (California, ‘25), and Autumn Reingold (Georgia, ‘25). For the elite competition, it is uncertain who will compete but possibilities include Michelle Pineda (UCLA, ‘26), Tegan Shaver (Nebraska, ‘25), and Evandra Zlobec (‘25).
Meet Results
Presidential Classic, Florida.
As expected, this meet was highly competitive. Twenty one gymnasts earned scores of 38.000 and above and the top five all-around scores were 39.000 plus. Ultimately, Nina Ballou (LSU, ‘25) earned the Nastia Liukin spot with a 39.325 all-around. She also won the beam title with a 9.875 and had a huge 9.900 on floor. Imani White (California, ‘25) had a 10.0 on vault and placed second overall, scoring 39.300. Jayla Booker earned the third highest all-around score from the meet with 39.150. Oklahoma Commit Oaklie Deputy had the fourth highest all-around score but stood out on beam and floor with a 9.825 and 9.925 respectively. Alabama four-star recruit Kenzie Matters scored a personal best 9.900 on vault and Penn State three-star Dealin Diaz-Luong earned three personal best scores with an all-around score of 38.700, a 9.825 on vault, and a floor score of 9.700.
Rochester Classic, New York.
Four-star Jada Kim (Georgia, ‘26) was the Nastia Liukin qualifier from this event, earning a 38.775 all-around. Lindsay Pseja (Minnesota ‘26) came in second with Sutton Strasser (Georgia, ‘26) in third with a 38.257. Jazlynn Jackson (‘26) earned a career high of 9.900 on vault for 12th all-around following mistakes on beam and floor.
Charity Choice Invitational, Washington.
After a weaker meet the week before, Oklahoma commit Makenzie Estep (‘25) stepped it up here to win the vault and all-around titles, qualifying with a 38.900 to her fifth Nastia Liukin Cup! Kendall Torrens (Oklahoma, ‘26) won the bars title with a 9.825, and Emerson Gaa (Denver, ‘26) won the floor title with the same score.
BIG Classic, Illinois.
After missing out on qualifying to the Nastia Liukin Cup at Rally in the Valley despite scoring a 38.950, Cameron Tassone (UCLA, ‘26) got her chance here, where her 38.550 handily won the all-around title. Tassone also won the vault and floor titles, while Avery Friend (UW-Whitewater, ‘25) won the beam title with a 9.625, a new career-high for her.
Other notable results
- Michelle Pineda (UCLA, ‘26) competed elite at the Metroplex Challenge and won the all-around with a 52.10 and the floor title, with a 13.550.
- Ashlee Sullivan (Michigan, ‘25) also competed elite at the Metroplex Challenge and scored 14.050 on beam, achieving the highest score on that event by more than 0.500.
- Mylee Grant (Kentucky, ‘26) set a new all-around career high by over 0.800 by scoring 39.075 at the All American Challenge in Connecticut.
- Jazlyn Jackson (‘26) won vault at Rochester Classic with a career best 9.900.

Class of 2025
- Samantha Dorrity, who competes club gymnastics at Texas Dreams, has committed to UW-Oshkosh.
- Alison Mun, a 2024 Development nationals all-star vault qualifier, has committed to George Washington. She is also the 2023 Easterns, regional, and state vault champion. Mun has been competing a Yurchenko full but is training a one and a half.
- Bailey Greene has committed to West Chester. She’s competed both level 10 and Excel, with her highest scores coming on beam and floor.
Class of 2026
- Avery Schwarz, a three-star recruit, has committed to Arizona State on a full ride. Schwarz was a nationals qualifier last year and her highest score has come on vault where she tops out at 9.775.
