Three weeks ago, Florida became the first team in the nation to hit a 198+ score in 2025. However, the Gators have since lost some momentum, coming off a road upset by Arkansas. Tonight, they’ll aim to bounce back in front of a home crowd for Link to Pink night. Last week’s loss stemmed from two falls on beam and unusually low scores from Victoria Nguyen and Anya Pilgrim. A repeat of that performance seems unlikely with the Gators back on home turf, but expect potential lineup shifts for the big occasion.
Meanwhile, Auburn’s floor lineup—despite missing standout freshman Katelyn Jong—posted a season-high 49.550 last week. The Tigers will hope to have Jong back in both floor and vault rotations to compensate for the loss of fellow freshman phenom Marissa Neal to injury. While an upset in Gainesville might be a long shot, Auburn’s steady progress this season suggests they could secure a valuable NQS score tonight.
Rotation 1: Florida VT, Auburn UB
Pilgrim VT: y1.5 clean in the air as usual but pretty decent-sized hop forward. 9.825
Boyd UB: Slight leg separation and bent arms in the Maloney, Pak legs together. A bit close catching the high bar, clean stalder to stuck double tuck to open the lineup. 9.800
Bui VT: Not as much height as Pilgrim, step back in place on her y1.5, bit of a lack of control. 9.800
Bartman UB: Very close on the pak. Less trouble back up to the high bar, big step back on the double front dismount. 9.450
Every time I’m here it’s like they literally plug my Spotify into the aux!
Ferris VT: Landing looks secure on y1.5 but has to step back. 9.825
Groth UB: Tkatchev high and clears the bar, Pak legs together but a little close too, cold stick double back! 9.900
Wong VT: Hop back on her Pod vault. 9.900
Irvine UB: Lovely first handstand and toepoint throughout, piked Jaeger to bail no issues, full-in deep squat but sticks. 9.900
Disidore VT: Stuck the y1.5 in the warmup but takes a big step forward on this one. 9.850 compared to some of the others (i.e. Ferris 9.825) seems high..
Greaves UB: Huge Piked Tkatchev down to Pak, goes over on cast and comes off. Back up, VL fine, little hop back on full-in. 9.125 Loving how fast scoring is.
Harris-Miranda VT: Step forward on y1.5. No sticks for the Gators tonight. 9.875
Jong UB: Maloney to pak, also quite close to the bar. Leg separation on VL. Great form on the stalder to FTDT with pointed toes throughout. Small hop back.
After 1: Florida 49.275, Auburn 48.925
Auburn with some very close Paks to go sub-49 in the first rotation, but the couple of sticks were promising. Florida’s vaults were powerful but didn’t have the sticks to open up with a true bang. It’s a reasonably close margin to start out.
Rotation 2: Florida UB, Auburn VT
Pilgrim UB: Pak nice to open, legs together. Toe hand, VL looking nice so far. Stuck full-in dismount. Both opening bars routines tonight stuck the landing. 9.950 highest score of the evening thus far.
Huff VT: Bent legs on the y1.5, small step back. 9.850
McCusker UB: Toe point and form lovely Pak to maloney, same with VL back up, double back dismount tonight and a little foot movement back. Clean overall! 9.825
Schumaker VT: Tucked y1.5 big bound forward and arm swing. 9.775 feels a little high
Skye Blakely UB: Perfect first handstand, flexed feet on Tkatchev and misses it. Holds handstand for a minute to repeat it and catches, right into Pak legs apart, very deliberate handstands, half-out dismount stuck like a dart. 9.325
Hubbard VT: Pretty form in the air, hop forward. 9.825
Wong UB: Maloney to Pak legs glued together, handstands all look great, DLO stuck and I think it’s giving 10 in this environment. 9.975
Jong VT: Looked like a stick on her 1.5, but I could not fully see. 9.875
Harris-Miranda UB: Huge air on Tkatchev, toe circle, DLO a little pikey but sticks it. Bringing the fire these last few routines. 9.975 as well.
Zancan VT: Hop forward on her FHS front tuck vault. 9.850
Bui UB: Pak caught way too close and lands on top of the bar but she actually doesn’t come off, just needs to muscle back up. arm swing stick on her full-in to finish up. 9.000
Zois VT: Yfull small hop back. 9.900
After 2: Florida 98.325, Auburn 98.225
Both teams with bright spots but will count a weird Pak catch each, making this meet just about even at the half. Closer than I thought for sure. Florida cannot have a repeat of last week on beam if it wants to widen that gap.
Rotation 3: Florida BB, Auburn FX
Draser BB: Dynamic BHS LOSO series no hesitation. Switch leap, switch half with a check. Overall nice flow in the routine. Chest down arm swing small step forward on back 1.5 to dismount. 9.750 they hammered the check.
Zancan FX: S&M Rihanna music okay gurrrrrl. Back leg goes up on double pike. Good straddle and wolf jump position with toe-point on leaps. Double tuck landing was more secure. 9.750
Sloane Blakely BB: Front aerial to BHS series, no hesitation. Switch to switch half to beat good extension. Stuck gainer full, fun finger pointing celebration. She always knows how to end a routine! 9.900
Greaves FX: Front tuck through to double back controlled. Clean leap series, good ring position. Double pike controlled too, good redemption after bars. 9.875
Pilgrim BB: I love how she just chills unbothered against the beam waiting to go. BHS LOSO is right on. Front aerial is pretty and controlled. Switch leap to sissone, very little to deduct ATP. Until the gainer full step back. 9.850
Bell FX: Front double full a lot of power but controlled. Big air with jumps on the triple jump combo. Super fun music with California Love. Double tuck is high. She’s a literal cannon on this event. 9.850
Nguyen BB: Onodi, BHS, no hesitation. Switch leap, split jump, stunning execution. BHS 1.5 to finish out, true stuck. 9.975
Jong FX: Full-in good control. Nearly falls out of the wolf turns but gets them around. Back 1.5 to front full. Good to see her back on that event. 9.825
Wong BB: Easy execution on leaps, BHS LOSO dead on, not much to take here either, I keep cursing it though because that’s a liiiiiitle shuffle in place on the dismount, wonder if the judges will have seen. 10.000, I guess not. Lots of 10s happening across America right now I’ve heard, happy mid-February!
McLaughlin FX: Back 1.5 to front lay this is some of Simone’s Rio floor music. A little no control on the double pike, slides but stays in bounds. 9.675
Harris-Miranda BB: “Please welcome Selena…” but she’s been here? Triple series tiny check. Leaps were fine, front aerial no hesitation, luv the Victoria Monét beam music. Great air on her back 1.5 and sticks. 9.975
Groth FX: Double front controlled. Satisfying stuck landing on front lay. Oh this Dancing Queen will go hard for her last routine, giving Abby Heiskell fifth year swan song. 9.875
After 3: Florida 148.025, Auburn 147.400
Well, there’s Florida pulling well away. 49.700 has got to be a top beam score in the nation thus far, I’ll check on that. Auburn’s floor was tidy and something to be proud of overall, but it’s hard to measure up to a 10 and two 9.975 routines on the other side of the arena.
The Auburn gymnasts joining in for Won’t Back Down, don’t know if I could bring myself to do that! LOL!
Rotation 4: Florida FX, Auburn BB
Nguyen FX: Front double full to sissone her usual. Back 1.5 has to stumble out of it a bit. 9.925
Ahern BB: BHS LOSO small check. Smooth cat leap to switch half. Beat to front aerial no hesitation. Wobble on the full turn. Sticks the back 1.5 with chest low. 9.850
Ferris FX: Awesome open full-in to start. Love this music. slightly off but keeps control on front layout to end. 9.875
Greaves BB: Wolf turns secure and gets around. BHS LOSO, leaps good extension, no check on side aerial. Small step in place on Gainer pike. 9.825
Clark FX: Lack of control on that first pass, might have gone out…front tuck through to double back was better, right in place. 9.675
Zancan BB: Press mount wows the crowd. Very quickly into the BHS LOSO love the lack of inhibition, no hesitation. There is some hesitation from one leap to the next, we’ll see if connection is given. Back 1.5 squatty but stuck, Dangerous Woman felt like appropriate energy for that! 9.875
Sloane Blakely FX: Big full-in. JT Coming, throw that money Sloane! Back 1.5 to front full her usual. She had a really nice night. 10???
Groth BB: Triple series was great, switch to switch half maybe not quite 180 but controlled. Stuck gainer full. Ten hands. 9.950 wow!
Wong FX: DLO strong, same with back 1.5 to front full. That lowkey had 10 energy too with the O Dome rocking like it was. 9.875, reasonable.
Jong BB: Working through the Blakely 10 screams like a true seasoned U.S. elite. Looked solid on the beam but dismount was pretty low chest with a step forward. 9.775
Harris-Miranda FX: Front tuck through to double back. Back 1.5 to front half to stag.
McLaughlin BB: Dirty with the Sweet Caroline music, UF. Some of these songs make sense to trip up on beam. Bang on her series, tiny hop in place but good control on dismount. 9.925
FINAL: Florida 197.625, Auburn 196.825
It wasn’t quite by a full point, but Florida used that 10 energy to pull majorly away by the end of this one for a solid score. 49.700 on beam and 49.600 on floor are slightly inflated numbers, but the pieces are there for these events to remain really solid for the Gators. Auburn did well in a tough environment, especially with the 10 bonanza towards the end of the meet. The Tigers should feel good about pulling away from that dreaded missing out on SECs spot with solid, climbing scores this season, but bars remains a spot to work out.
VT: Leanne Wong UF and Sarah Zois AU 9.900
UB: Selena Harris-Miranda UF and Leanne Wong UF 9.975
BB: Leanne Wong UF 10.000
FX: Sloane Blakely UF 10.000
AA: Selena Harris-Miranda UF and Leanne Wong UF 39.750

Ahh, Florida home scoring. I guess that realistic scoring was just a trial for the first few weeks. The SEC is back in true SEC form (or espn is back to encouraging scoring bumps to teams on their networks).
Sloane Blakely seems to be the straw that stirs the Gators drink this season.
I was relieved to learn in her after meet TV interview why Sloane missed last week at Arkansas and only participated in two events against Auburn. Sloane had a concussion, so she had to go through the protocols to be able to perform.
I feel certain Sloane will be a full go AA next week at Oklahoma.
