Fantasy Central: Week 3

Fantasy Central: Week 3

It’s year four with Gymlytics fantasy college gymnastics in 2025! We all learned lessons when GymChem took up the helm and created her revamped game, and we’re ready for a fun new season.

Our weekly cadence will continue to match Gymlytics: The fantasy “week” begins with Friday meets, ends with any Thursday ones and trading happens every Monday via the waiver wire. You’ll find us here every Tuesday talking about “next week,” meaning the fantasy week starting that Friday.

This is your one-stop-shop for all things fantasy each week. We’ll be tracking injuries, noting byes and double headers, and giving you tips and tricks to put forward your best team possible.

Week three is also Martin Luther King Jr. weekend, so keep in mind that a number of your gymnasts might have doubles since so many teams compete on Monday.

The trading tab in Gymlytics is open! Keep in mind that no trades will go through until after week three meets conclude.

Data Corner

Once again, we have data editor Dara joining us for Fantasy Central each week. She’ll be breaking down the numbers for you with notes on routine hit rate, lineup appearance frequency, and breakout performances to keep an eye on.

Hit Rate and Lineup Frequency: Among those with at least 10 scores, the following gymnasts have some of the highest career lows and smallest scoring spreads–making them some of the most reliable hits to count.

  • Vault: Keira Wells with a low of 9.825 and an interquartile range (IQR) of below 0.05 across 18 routines. Wells has never missed a meet on the event.
  • Bars: Madison Ulrich with a low of 9.850 and an IQR of 0.025 across 16 routines. Ulrich has never missed a meet on the event.
  • Beam: Gabby Gladieux and Selena Harris-Miranda with a low of 9.775 and an IQR of just over 0.05 across 28 routines. Gladieux has only missed two meets and Harris-Miranda has only missed one.
  • Floor: Amari Drayton and Noelle Adams with a low of 9.825 and an IQR of 0.05 across 17 routines. Drayton has only missed one meet and Adams has never missed any.

Breakout Performances: Several returning gymnasts made a splash on beam this weekend. Most notably, Michigan State junior Olivia Zsarmani and Southern Utah sophomore Elliot Bringhurst each notched a 9.925. This was Zsarmani’s second appearance on the event since February of her freshman year and Bringhurst’s fourth competitive beam routine. Additionally, Temple Landry made her collegiate debut on the event for Stanford, earning a 9.875.

Starts & Sits for Week 3

This is the spot to find your solutions for those big bye weeks and advice on how to handle injuries, lineup changes, and those surprise breakout performances.

Vault: Alabama’s Jamison Sears had an “injury setback” but is expected to be back to practice this week. We’d hold her out of lineups at least one more week. KJ Johnson was out of LSU’s lineups with a sprained ankle; it’s unclear how long she’ll be out.

Bars: Missouri’s Olivia Kelly exhibitioned bars and beam last weekend. Danielle Sievers was back on bars for the Sooners for a 9.900 this week; it seems likely she’ll remain in this lineup.

Beam: Kara Eaker was in the beam exhibition spot for Georgia; after a fall in the GymDogs preview and a year off, it makes sense that she’s easing back in. Clara Wallace wasn’t dressed out for Air Force; we’d keep an eye on the situation and hold her out of lineups for now. Riley McCusker was pulled out of the beam lineup after a miss on bars; she looked uninjured, but caution is warranted given her history.

Floor: It’s possible illness is still hanging around the Utes; it appeared that Ella Zirbes had to catch her breath in the middle of floor after skipping the event last week. Elise Tisler made her Missouri floor debut after missing week one with an injury.

Waiver Wire Wrap-up

Finally, we have a waiver wire in gymnastics! Who should you prioritize this week? Since Fantasy Central comes out on Tuesdays, keep in mind that these tips are catered toward next week.

Vault: Air Force freshman Alyssa Bigler competed a Yurchenko one and a half for a 9.825 last week. Georgia freshman Nyla Aquino nabbed a 9.875 in her debut.

Bars: Michigan’s Ava Jordan is a consistent bar worker in the making, with back-to-back 9.825s. Thunderbird Isabella Neff has a 9.900 and 9.850 so far to be the highest-ranked bar worker outside the Power Four.

Beam: Arizona’s beam rotation is hot! Gianna Lenczner has two 9.850s.

Floor: Syniya Thomas is off to a very strong start for N.C. State, with a 9.850 and 9.875 so far. Haley Tyson made her debut for Iowa, competing beam and floor.
