Official visits are continuing at colleges across the country and the commitments are steadily rolling in. This week Ursinus and Winona State secured their first recruits in the class of 2025 with Josie Burton and Frankie MacAskill joining respectively. Syrie Brazzle (Southern Utah, ‘25) announced she will graduate early and join the Thunderbirds in January.
Official Visits
This summer, we launched our Recruiting Visit Tracker to track recruits and which teams they’re considering for college as they go on official visits. - UCLA hosted a trio of three-stars this week: Brooke Katz and Abigail Steeley in the class of 2026 as well as Kai Mattei ‘25 who subsequently committed to the Bruins.
- Daisy Bowles, a three-star recruit in the class of ’25, visited Iowa.
- Maryland hosted Addison Megill (three-star, ‘26), Regina Brunson ‘26 who later committed, as well as Mariah Green ’25.
Commitment Changes
- Sophie Schriever (‘25, four-star) has switched her commitment from Washington to Iowa on a full ride.
- Abigail Ryssman (‘25, four-star) has changed her commitment from Denver to Utah on a full scholarship.

Class of 2025
- Ava Hooten, a 2024 nationals qualifier, has announced her verbal commitment to Penn. She competes a unqiue pike front toss on beam.
- Mara Gruber, a two-time national qualifier who trains at Flips in Minnesota, has committed to Utah State.
- Ashley Stafford, who trains at Olympica in California, will continue her academic and athletic career at Yale. She brings strong scores on vault and floor that should bolster the Bulldogs’ lineups.
- Riley Navarro is the third recruit in her class to commit to Centenary. She is a second year level 10 with a high of 9.550 on floor.
- Ome Ellis will head to Wisconsin following her commitment to UW-Oshkosh. She has an all-around high of 37.575 with strong bar scores.
- William & Mary added a fourth with Jasmine Hou’s commitment. She is a three-time nationals qualifier who brings a high of 9.700 on floor, a routine that’s punctuated by a lovely roundoff double pike.
- Ursinus has secured their first recruit in the class after Josie Burton announced her commitment to the Bears.
- Winona State also added their first following Frankie MacAskill’s commitment.
- Kai Mattei, a three-star recruit and three-time national qualifier, has committed to UCLA. She is a strong athlete across all four events and has an all-around high of 37.850. Her clean gymnastics will make her a strong option on multiple events for the Bruins.
Class of 2026
- Lily Power, a three-star recruit, verbally committed to Auburn. She boasts an all-around high of 38.575 and is a three-time national qualifier. Prior to committing to the Tigers she took official visits to Penn State, NC State, Stanford, Denver, and Michigan.
- Madison Denlinger, who trains at Georgia Elite, will join Utah following her commitment this week. She has a new Yurchenko one and a half that we can expect to see this season. Denlinger was a regional champion on vault in 2024, earning her top score on the event of 9.825.
- Maggie Waterstreet, a three-star recruit, will join NC State on a full ride. She has an all-around high of 38.100.
- Arkansas added a second four-star recruit following Finley Scott’s verbal commitment. Her all-around high is 38.775 and with a high of 10.0 on vault she’s sure to find a lineup spot in Fayetteville.
- Lindsay Pseja, a three-star who trains at Aeon, has committed to Minnesota. She is a strong all-around prospect who shines on bars.
- Maryland added a second gymnast to the class after Regina Brunson announced her intent to become a Terrapin. Her training videos show a Yurchenko one and a half that looks competition ready.
