With March 23rd being the cut-off date for state competitions across the country, this weekend was all about the states. As usual, Texas proved to be one of the most competitive meets, featuring numerous top recruits contending for session titles.
News
Jayla Hang (Florida, ‘26) travelled to Antalya, Türkiye with Claire Pease (‘27) to represent the USA at the FIG World Cup event. Hang took the title on vault while Pease got gold on beam and silver on vault, bars, and floor.
Four-star ‘25 recruit Ashlee Sullivan (Michigan) and four-star ‘26 Adelle Speck (Iowa State) have removed their social media posts for their previously announced commitments. It remains unclear whether they are reconsidering their decisions or exploring other options. We’ll be watching closely for any further updates.Â

California State Championships (Northern)
In only her first level 10 season, Andie Marshall (‘28) set a massive new career high with a 38.900, the highest all around score of this meet. Four-star Morgan Reihl (California, ‘26) set a career high on vault by a tenth with her 9.850, the highest vault score of the meet. Milana Sliusar (‘26) set a new career high on beam with a 9.800 which tied for the highest score on the event.
California State Championships (Southern)
Four-star Sevana Kasparian (Denver, ‘25) had the highest all around score of the meet and tied her career high with a 38.525. Mariah Green (Maryland, ‘25) and Katie Rude (Oregon State, ‘25) tied for the highest vault score with a 9.800. Three-star Elena Brian (Washington, ‘25) set a new career high with the highest beam score of the meet, a 9.700.
Florida State Championships
Nastia Liukin Cup runner-up and five-star recruit Jasmine Cawley (Alabama, ‘25) delivered a standout performance, posting a career high all around score of 39.275 to win a state title. Cawley also tied with four-star Kendall Morgan (‘26) for the top vault score, earning a 9.900, which marked a career high for Morgan by more than a tenth. Five-star Imani White (California, ‘26) claimed the highest scores on bars and beam, earning a 9.875 and 9.800, respectively. On floor, Cawley and Madyson Boyd (‘27) both scored a perfect 10.0, matching Boyd’s career high from her previous meet and setting a new personal best for Cawley.Â
Georgia State Championships
Five-star Madelyn Dorbin (Florida, ‘25) set new career highs in the all around and on beam with a 39.000 and a 9.825, the highest scores of the meet for those events. Christina Shelton (NC State, ‘26) had the highest vault score with a 9.850 which tied her career high. Avery Moss (Ohio State, ‘26) won floor with a 9.750, tied her career high on vault (9.650), and set a new career high in the all around (38.575).
Illinois State Championships
Cameron Tassone (UCLA, ’26) had the top all-around score with an exceptional, career high 39.100. The second highest score was from Maddie Stewart (Stanford, ’26), who also set a personal best with a 38.400. Tassone and Stewart both scored 10.0s on vault, which was a career first for Tassone. Stewart took the beam title, while Tassone had the highest scores on bars and floor, setting a career high 9.900 on floor. Kamryn Banach (Northern Illinois, ’25) tied for the second highest bars score with a career high 9.650. Raegan McCarty (Missouri, ’26) set a new personal best on vault (9.825) and tied her career high on floor (9.800).
Minnesota State Championships
Five-star Alison Cucci (Arkansas, ’25) had the highest all around score of the meet with a 38.825, as well as the highest on vault (9.850) and floor (9.750). Cucci tied with three-star Grace Weisser (NC State, ‘26) for the highest score on bars with a 9.775. Weisser also set new career highs on beam (9.625) and in the all-around (38.575). Ariana Frechette (Kentucky, ’26) had the second highest all-around score and won the Junior C title with a personal best 38.750.
New Jersey State Championships
Lindsay Pseja (Minnesota, ‘26) exceeded her career high by 0.250, earning her the highest all around score of the meet with a 39.000. Pseja also tied her career high on vault (9.725) and had the highest scores of the meet on bars (9.800), beam (9.700), and floor (9.775), with beam being a new career high. Giovannina Beltra (‘26) had the highest vault score of the meet with a career high of 9.900. Hadassah Diggs (Fisk, ‘25) had the second highest beam score of the meet with a career high 9.600.Â
Texas State ChampionshipsÂ
With a gigantic 39.350, Nastia Liukin Cup co-junior champion Elizaveta Grebenkova (‘27) achieved the highest score of this meet. Lacie Saltzmann (Minnesota, ‘25) was second with a personal best 38.950. Michelle Lin (Denver, ‘26) scored a 10.0 on vault with Finley Scott (Arkansas, ‘26), Riley Fain (Michigan State, ‘26), and Camryn Shepard (‘27) tied behind her with vault scores of 9.950. Avery Schwarz (Arizona State, ‘26) set a career high on the same event with a 9.925. Quincy Walters (California, ‘25) and Emerson Gaa (Denver, ‘26) tied for the highest floor score with a 9.925.
Utah State Championships
Sophie Schriever (Iowa, ‘25) got the highest all around score of the meet with a 38.975. Scarlett Sonnenberg (BYU, ‘25) had the second highest, tying her career high with a 38.925. Adelle Speck (Iowa State, ‘26) also set a personal best with a 38.50. Lillian Jennejohn (Ohio State, ‘25) achieved the highest vault score with a career high 9.975. Sonnenberg got the second highest vault score and set a new career high with a 9.925. Oaklie Deputy (BYU, ‘26) tied for the highest bars score with a 9.825 and earned the highest floor score with a 9.900. Ava Jackson (Ohio State, ‘25) won the beam title with a 9.800.
Other Notable Results
- Connecticut: Alisya Dorman (Utica, ‘25) scored a 10.0 on beam, exceeding her career high from 2024 nationals by 0.375.Â
- Delaware: Audrey Snyder (Auburn, ‘26) set a new career high in the all around (38.875).
- Idaho: Sydnie Whipple (Boise State, ’25) secured her first all around state title with the highest score of the meet, a personal best of 37.400.
- Indiana: Bailey Stroud (Utah, ‘25) won this meet with a 38.950.
- Maryland: Raeya Linton (Stanford, ‘26) won the all around with a 38.575. She also scored a 10.0 on vault, her third time achieving this score on the event but her first time with a Yurchenko full rather than a Yurchenko one and a half.
- Missouri: Summer Clancy (Illinois, ‘25) set a new career high in the all around (37.50).Â
- North Carolina: Junior co-Nastia Liukin Cup champion Caylee Cain (‘28) won this meet with a 38.450, also winning bars by tying her career high of 9.900.
- Ohio: Addison Sarisky (Alabama, ‘26) took home an all around state title with a 38.500.Â
- Oklahoma: Top recruit of the class of 2026, Presley Duke (Oklahoma, ‘26) had the highest scores on vault (9.75), bars (9.925), beam (9.775), and the all around (38.375). Haley Mustari (LSU, ‘25) hit her first full routine since knee surgery with a 9.825 on bars.Â
- Pennsylvania: Uncommitted standout Kennedy Welsh (’26) posted the highest score in the state, earning the all around title with a personal best 38.650, a mark that ranks among the top 100 scores in the U.S. this season.
- South Carolina: Whitney Torchia (‘26) had the highest all-around score with a personal best 38.200. She also set career highs on bars (9.50) and floor (9.75).
- Tennessee: Scarlet Pajer (Ball State, ‘25) had the highest all-around score with a personal best 38.625 and also set a new career high on bars (9.65).
- Virginia: Aria Smith (‘28) scored a 10.0 on vault. Brynn Torry (Auburn, ‘25) tied her career high with a 9.900 on vault. Paige Hasling (‘25) achieved the highest floor score with a personal best 9.900.Â
- West Virginia: Lily Thaxton (Kentucky, ‘25) won the state title with a career high 38.400.

Class of 2025
- Claire Rieder, a three-time national qualifier and state bar champion, has committed to Utica to further her academic and athletic career.
- Kylie Montague, who trains at Bright Raven Gymnastics in New York, has committed to Rhode Island.
- Towson picked up a commitment from Jocelyn Lannon, who becomes the fifth in that class. She will bring vault and beam highs of 9.750 to the SECU Arena.
- Lily Stewart, a gymnast at First State (DE), will continue her athletic and academic career at Ursinus. Stewart has competed in a mix of DP and Xcel programs and was a regional floor champion in 2023 in the diamond category.
- RyLe Foldhazi, a level nine state champion last season, has announced her commitment to Hamline.
