Tonight’s SEC showdown features No. 12 Georgia facing off against No. 14 Alabama in a highly anticipated battle between two of the conference’s historic powerhouses.
Alabama enters the meet as the lowest-ranked team in the SEC, looking to rebound after a tough floor performance in its loss to conference rival Oklahoma, where it posted a 196.300. Leading the Crimson Tide was Gabby Gladieux, who shared the floor title with a 9.950 and was Alabama’s top all-arounder, scoring 39.400 to place fifth overall. Gladieux will be a key player again tonight as Alabama looks to improve on last week’s floor struggles and secure its first SEC win of the season.
Georgia, meanwhile, is coming off a 196.825 performance in a loss to Florida. Despite the defeat, the GymDogs had standout routines, including Brooke Gleichowski, who earned a share of the beam title with a 9.950, and Ady Wahl, who posted a 9.900 to tie for the bars title while competing in the all-around. Georgia will aim to build on these successes as it takes on Alabama in this closely matched SEC clash.
With both teams’ average scores separated by less than a tenth, tonight’s meet promises to be a thrilling contest. It’s anyone’s game, and a conference win is on the line! Follow along with SEC Network and scores.
