Big 12 Announces First Preseason Team

The Big 12 Conference has announced its 2025 preseason team, the first time the conference has done so in 28 seasons.

The Big 12 Conference is set to expand to seven programs for the 2025 season, welcoming Arizona, Arizona State, and Utah as full-time members. They will join BYU, Iowa State, West Virginia, and affiliate member Denver, creating an exciting new era for the conference. Notably, the upcoming gymnastics season will mark the first time teams can compete for a regular-season title, adding even more stakes to the competitions.

The preseason team was selected through votes cast by the seven Big 12 head coaches, who were not permitted to vote for their own gymnasts. The team highlights standout performers across all four events and in the all-around, with six gymnasts named to each event. Due to a tie in the voting for floor, seven gymnasts earned spots on that apparatus.
