Recruiting Roundup: August 30

This week sees the launch of the new and improved, weekly Recruiting Roundup. Here, you will find all the latest information on college recruits, including official visits, training updates, and, eventually, coverage of select level 10 meets, including scores and more.

Official Visits

This summer, we launched our Recruiting Visit Tracker to track recruits and which teams they’re considering for college as they go on official visits. To submit missing official visits, leave a comment below or send us an email. We’ll highlight where some of the top recruits are considering each week.

Class of 2024

With school starting back up, this will be our last report on the class of 2024, as those gymnasts will now transition to freshmen at their respective schools.

  • Danish elite gymnast Camille Rasmussen will join the team at LIU this fall on scholarship. She finished No. 28 in the all-around and sixth on vault at this year’s European Championships and becomes only the second Danish gymnast in the NCAA, after Charlotte Andreasen competed for Towson from 1998-2000. 
  • Grace Wellington, an elite international gymnast from New Zealand, will join the Seawolves at the University of Alaska.
  • Hamline added three gymnasts for the upcoming season. Level 9 gymnasts Ava Walters and Zoey Danzinger join Ella Dallmann in Saint Paul, Minnesota.
  • Nationals qualifier and state vault champion Madison Kelly will join Sadara Mayhorn and Ontario, Canada, native Mikayla Clements, in the class of 2024 at Wilberforce.
  • Kamryn Crandall was added as a freshman to the roster at SEMO.

Class of 2025

  • Three-star Charlotte Ritchey committed to Maryland, becoming the fifth three-star recruit in its currently committed class of six.
  • Three-star Addison Watson, of World Champions Centre, will join Ohio State for the 2026 season. She’s the fifth rated recruit to join that class.
  • Four-star Maggie Ball, daughter of Oklahoma head coach KJ Kindler, has committed to Iowa on a full-ride scholarship. She has a high score of 9.825 on vault and is both a regional and national champion on beam.
  • Reesi Williams, of Louisiana’s North Shore Gymnastics, has committed to UW-Stout. She has an all-around high of 36.175.
  • Sophia Rivera has committed to Towson. She is a level 10 regional medalist on beam and floor. 
  • Sophia Tressler will continue competing in college for Brown. She’s a 2024 nationals qualifier with an all-around high score of 37.700.
  • Alison Ritch has secured a scholarship and will join the Tigers at Towson for the 2025 season.
  • Arizona native Lacey Gardner, a national qualifier with an all-around high of 37.975, has committed to Arizona State.
  • Charley Laufer has said yes to furthering her gymnastics career at Utah State. The Aggies will be very happy with her career high of 9.725 on bars.
  • Kaitlyn Chancey, of Gymnastics Unlimited, has committed to Towson.
  • Breanna Ford, with her high scores of 37.925 all-around and 9.825 on vault, has committed to Western Michigan on a full-ride scholarship.
  • Peyton Stanos has committed to Western Michigan on a scholarship
  • Ahnna Kalmes, who finished fifth on bars in her first nationals appearance, has committed to Nebraska.
  • Selena Pappas, a 2024 regional qualifier, has committed to UC Davis.
  • Brooke Boggess, of Queen City Gymnastics in Ohio, has committed to Michigan State to further her athletic and academic careers. Boggess is a 2024 regional bars champion and qualified to nationals on bars and beam.
  • Camryn Dean will become a Fighting Illini with her verbal commitment to Illinois. She brings an all-around high score of 35.950.

Class of 2026

  • Three-star, Abygail Mackinney has verbally committed on a full-ride scholarship to Arizona. She is a former national champion on floor.
