With our newest recruit ratings out–including graduating seniors for the first time–it’s easy to focus on the five- and four-star athletes who are in contention to be the next all-around stars at their future college programs. However, since our ratings are based on totals across all four events, those athletes who excel on one or two events may fly under the radar. Coaches will often recruit these gymnasts to fill important holes in event lineups, so we want to take the time to highlight them as well. Note that only three-star and unrated gymnasts are considered for these lists. Today, we’re continuing the series by looking at the top underrated floor workers.
Class of 2024
Riley Jenkins
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️
College: UCLA
High Score: 9.850
Why She Stands Out: Jenkins is a high-energy performer on floor who will fit right in with UCLA’s legendary rotation. She is extremely consistent on the event, having not scored below a 9.400 since 2022.
Bridget Kemp
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️
College: Boise State
High Score: 9.825
Why She Stands Out: Kemp’s opening full-in is a thing of beauty each time she competes it. She’s won back-to-back SoCal state titles on floor and also finished as a national runner-up in 2023.
Ava Johnson
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️
College: San Jose State
High Score: 9.800
Why She Stands Out: A true performer, Johnson does not stop dancing the entire routine. She also has strong tumbling passes, including a double tuck, Rudi to layout step-out, and back one-and-a-half to front pike.

Hayden Seymour
Rating: NR
College: Illinois
High Score: 9.875
Why She Stands Out: Seymour’s execution is among the best in her class, from her dance elements to her front double twist and her Rudi to layout step-out. She finished as national runner-up in 2024 and will be one to watch when she arrives at Illinois.
Sage Curtis
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️
College: Utah
High Score: 9.750
Why She Stands Out: The highlight of Curtis’ routine is the oversplit on her straddle jumps, but she also has strong tumbling and high-energy dance that will be welcome at Utah.

Isabella Beach
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️
College: Uncommitted
High Score: 9.925
Why She Stands Out: Performance, performance, performance! Beach’s dance is reminiscent of Creslyn Brose with the way she puts her whole body into her choreography and seamlessly transitions out of her tumbling.
Dayana Nataren
Rating: ⭐️⭐️⭐️
College: Uncommitted
High Score: 9.950
Why She Stands Out: Nataren’s lowest score on floor in the 2024 season was a 9.575, and it’s easy to see why from her video. Her performance is polished and full of energy, and her tumbling is clean and solid. With two years left to perfect all the minor details, she could end up as one of the top prospects on floor in her class.
