In a dual critical to Oregon State’s Pac-12 regular season title hopes, this matchup has become increasingly exciting due to Arizona State’s recent surge up the rankings. It’s a must-win if the Beavers want to win the conference outright, while the Sun Devils would love to play spoiler to finish their Pac-12 slate over .500.
Arizona State is in its best two-meet stretch of the season and looks like a team that finished ninth in the NCAA two seasons ago. Hannah Scharf, their rock for the last four seasons, is at her best, scoring in the 39.6s for the first time in her career. Her growth, paired with standout performances like Sarah Clark’s 9.975 on bars and Anaya Smith’s 9.9s on vault, has Arizona State carrying tons of positive momentum right now at the perfect time.
Oregon State’s got plenty of positive energy, too, coming off a program-best 198.075 last weekend via a pair of Jade Carey perfect scores. She continues to take the program to new heights, and the Beavers defending their co-championship from last season would go a long way in setting the stage for a postseason run. Beam and floor have been stellar for Oregon State lately, so finding a way to get out to a hot start will be its biggest test today.

After 1: Arizona State 49.300, Oregon State 49.200
A close one! For a lineup of mostly Yurchenko fulls, that was a great start for the Sun Devils to show off their clean form and grab an early lead. However, the Beavers hit their worst event, and weren’t far off a season-high. That was exactly the start Oregon State wants as its scores will continue to grow throughout the afternoon.
Rotation 2: Oregon State Vault, Arizona State Bars
Garcia (OSU): FTY. Nice off the table and in the air, small shuffle on the landing. 9.825
Reeves (ASU): Gets underway on the high bar, giant half to Jaeger to overshoot, a little twisted hips, dismounts double layout, leg sep but sticks. 9.850

Dagen (OSU): Y1.5. Some leg bend in the air, big step forward. 9.850
White (ASU): Maloney half, great, giant half, goes over into an extra half, a few extra swings before repeating into a bail, good form though, dismounts double layout, sticks. 9.450
Carey (OSU): DTY. Big air, hop back. 9.875
Clark (ASU): Giant half to Jaeger, great, Pak, leg sep, over on the half pirouette slightly, dismounts double layout, great form and sticks. 9.925
Rotation 2: Oregon State 49.300, Arizona State 49.450
After 2: Arizona State 98.750, Oregon State 98.500
Two more good rotations! Oregon State gave away some tenths on the landings, but a low-49 is enough to stay in the meet with the best two events to come. This meet is uber-important for their regular season title hopes, so expect a bit more motivation from the Beavers to finish it out. The Sun Devils will be very please with a mid-49 on their best event. That extends their lead and puts them in position for a great score regardless of the win-loss outcome.
Rotation 3: Arizona State Beam, Oregon State Floor
Lee (ASU): Easy full turn to start the rotation, BHS BHS LOSO, secure, split jump to sheep jump, slight lean, shy of 180 in the split, dismounts RO 1.5, gets the stick. 9.875
Bird (OSU): Opens with a front layout Rudi to straddle jump, short but covers well, switch half to split full, slow but rotated, ends with a RO 2.5, good landing. 9.750
Reeves (ASU): Mounts low to the beam, BHS BHS LOSO, switch leap to split jump, easy, full turn, front aerial, bit of a pause to prep for that skill, dismounts RO 1.5, bent knees and a hop forward. 9.775
Miller (OSU): Starts off with a double pike, no issues, switch half to straddle full, slightly short, RO 1.5 front layout, closes with a double tuck, slightly short step forward. 9.825
Harper (ASU): Front toss to BHS, slow but didn’t stop moving, full turn, cat leap to switch half, likely shy of 180 in the split, BHS gainer full, pikes down but nails the stick. 9.875
Letzsch (OSU): Begins with a RO 1.5 front full, controls the step forward, switch ring half to split half, dismounts with double tuck, hop back, lifts the front foot. 9.875
Clark (ASU): Hops onto the beam down low, full turn, smooth, BHS LOSO, nice height, split jump to double stag ring, front leg could’ve been higher in the first jump, front aerial, sharp, BHS 1.5 dismount, short but the good kind but hangs onto the stick. 9.875

Scharf (ASU): Double wolf turn to open, tiny check, BHS LOSO, another tiny foot adjustment, side somi, switch leap split jump, dismounts RO 1.5, sticks. 9.875
Carey (OSU): Opening double double is a little short, steps forward, switch half straddle full, huge, front layout to double pike, great landing. 9.950
Rotation 3: Arizona State 49.400, Oregon State 49.425
After 3: Arizona State 148.150, Oregon State 147.925
Another great rotation! The Beavers hit on their second best event, and were able to chip away at the lead slightly with their best event to go. While beam can be precarious, it’s going to have to be excellent for Oregon State today with room to make up. The Sun Devils, despite relinquishing a bit of their lead, will be pleased with that floor effort as they keep a decent lead heading into the final event. Floor has been just alright for Arizona State this season so it will need the come crowd to help carry it to victory.
Rotation 4: Oregon State Beam, Arizona State Floor
Peterson (OSU): Fantastic low beam choreo to start off, BHS BHS LOSO, big check to her left, bent at the hips, full turn, switch half to straddle jump, dismounts gainer pike. 9.775
Clark (ASU): Opens with a double pike, good landing, second pass RO 1.5 front layout, controlled step, switch ring to switch half, low front leg in the first leap, closes with a double tuck, low chest, controls the lunge. 9.825
Domingo (OSU): Front aerial to back pike, solid to start, full turn, aggressive kick, switch leap to straddle jump, stuck gainer full. 9.850
Theodorou (ASU): Begins with a full-in, chest low and a shuffle back, tour jete half to wolf full, a bit wonky, last pass RO 1.5 front layout, needed more height in the second skill. cat leap double. 9.850
Letzsch (OSU): Front aerial to back tuck to start off, no issues, split jump to ring jump to beat jump, smooth, full turn, tiny check, front full dismount, feet weren’t in frame so couldn’t tell if it was a stick, looked like a hop back. 9.900
Jaslow (ASU): Mounts with a double pike, very open and great landing, clean leap series, second pass front layout front full, nice step forward, finishes off with a double tuck, another good lunge. 9.900
Gonzales (OSU): Front aerial back tuck combo we’ve gotten used to, hits, full turn small wobble, side aerial, perfect, cat leap switch half, dismounts front full, near stick, may have been a slide getting the heels together. 9.975
White (ASU): Opens up with FHS front double full, controlled step, RO 1.5 front layout, switch ring to switch half, great positions, closes with a FHS front full front layout. 9.950
Dagen (OSU): Mounts low to the beam, BHS LOSO, sturdy, switch leap to switch half, moving confidently, full turn, small arm check and a smile, dismounts RO 1.5, hop back. 9.900
Mangahas (ASU): Begins with a full twisting double back, low chest but easy lunge, front tuck to double tuck, small squat but no major issues, switch half to wolf jump full x2. 9.925
Carey (OSU): Forward roll to mount, full turn, front aerial to straddle jump, easy, BHS LOSO, great, switch leap switch side, no issues so far, dismounts gainer full, stuck cold. 10.000
Scharf (ASU): Front through to double tuck, great, FHS front full front tuck, phenomenal control, clean leap series, double pike to close, nice lunge. 9.950
Rotation 4: Oregon State 49.625, Arizona State 49.575
HUGE final rotations from both teams! Arizona State upset! The Sun Devils’ best total on any event this season was enough to hold off the same feat of the Beavers, with both programs showing-out to finish their nights. Carey completes her gymslam with the first perfect score on beam in her career as well.
FINAL: Arizona State 197.725, Oregon State 197.550
VT: Scharf (ASU), Smith (ASU), 9.900
UB: Carey (OSU), 9.975
BB: Carey, 10.000
