No. 1 Lindenwood enjoyed a double meet weekend, joining two other USAG teams at the nearby GymQuarters Invitational and then returning home for a win against Illinois State. Texas Woman’s and Centenary enjoyed a loosely scored road score opportunity at the Metroplex Challenge, coming away with a number of great individual results.
Routine of the Week
Savannah Newsome (UB) 9.875
The Lindenwood freshman was a bars powerhouse in level 10, and it was a question of when, not if, she would break through and start producing top results in college too. This weekend she broke through, scoring a 9.875 at GymQuarters on Friday and following it up with a 9.825 at home on Sunday.
Stick(ish) of the Week
Daisy Woodring (VT) 9.900
It wasn’t quite a stick, but Texas Womans’ sophomore Woodring’s quick feet were enough to please the judges and deliver her a career high 9.900.
