About Jaime

Pratt is a 2019 J.O. nationals qualifier where she tied for eleventh place on floor (Junior D). She won a bronze medal in the all around at both the 2019 Pennsylvania state meet and 2019 Region 7 regionals. She is the 2019 state champion on vault.

What She Brings to Arkansas

Vault

  • Skill: Yurchenko full
  • Results: first place at the 2019 Pennsylvania state meet
  • Margin of Improvement: Pratt performs a strong vault but pikes down a bit on landing. She is also training a Yurchenko 1.5.
  • Impact on the Team: Head coach Jordyn Wieber will want to improve her vault lineup’s results in the years to come. Pratt’s Yurchenko full could be strong in the lead-off position and her Yurchenko 1.5, if she consolidates it, could be a game changer.

Uneven Bars

  • Skills: Ray, blind full to bail to handstand, double layout
  • Results: tied second place at the 2019 Pennsylvania state meet
  • Margin of Improvement: Pratt’s Ray would benefit from greater extension, but her double layout is beautiful.
  • Impact on the Team: Wieber will want to improve her team’s bars scores too. With two more years of club gymnastics, Pratt has time to perfect her execution and should make the lineup easily.

Balance Beam

  • Skills: BHS + LOSO, switch leap + straddle jump quarter, front toss, 1.5 twist dismount
  • Results: twelfth place at the 2019 Region 7 regionals
  • Margin of Improvement: Pratt’s form on beam is pretty good, but she struggles with consistency. She is training a BHS + BHS + LOSO.
  • Impact on the Team: Pratt has potential on beam, but if she wants to contribute to the lineup, she will have to keep her nerves at bay.

Floor Exercise

  • Skills: front layout to front double twist, double turn, 2.5 twist, double tuck
  • Results: tied second place at the 2019 Pennsylvania state meet
  • Margin of Improvement: Pratt’s execution is solid on floor. Her twists are tight and look easy. Although her tumbling may not have the wow factor, it is difficult.
  • Impact on the Team: Arkansas is growing into a floor team, and Pratt is expected to contribute to it.
