The Oklahoma men received 419 points to top the preseason coaches poll after winning their fourth-straight national title and 12th overall in 2018. In the poll, which takes a single vote from each of the men’s collegiate gymnastics programs, the Sooners received 19 of 20 possible votes.
Stanford is ranked No. 2, having earned 390 points and a single first-place vote. The Cardinal finished fourth at the NCAA national championships this past season. Illinois (366 points), Minnesota (353 points), Michigan (324 points) and Ohio State (323 points) rounded out the top six with Nebraska, Penn State, Iowa and Navy following, respectively.
