Jade Degouveia, a level 10 from American Twisters in Florida, recently committed to the University of Oklahoma. She will join the team for the 2016-2017 season. According to the gym’s website, Degouveia was deciding between offers from Georgia, Illinois, Oklahoma and Utah.
Degouveia qualified to J.O. Nationals in both 2015 and 2014, placing third all around last year. She won floor at the 2015 Region 8 regionals.
Ashley Tai of Technique Gymnastics in California was accepted to Stanford and it is assumed she will also compete for the team next year. She won all around at the National Invitational Tournament in 2014.
