LIVE BLOG: No. 23 Ohio State at No. 20 N.C. State

N.C. State’s senior night sets the stage for a high-stakes showdown as Ohio State comes to town, with both teams looking to bolster their NQS. The Wolfpack is aiming to bounce back from a rough meet and post a strong 196+ to properly celebrate sixth-year standout Chloe Negrete’s final home appearance.

Ohio State, battling through injuries all season, comes into this meet needing a big road score. The Buckeyes hit a season high last week, and carrying that momentum into this matchup would be crucial with the postseason looming. Both teams have struggled at times on bars and beam, making those events the likely deciding factor. With so much on the line, expect this one to go down to the wire!

Rotation 1: N.C State VT, Ohio State UB

Adler (VT): Yurchenko full, hop in place, good body position, 9.750

Washington (UB): Clean handstand, Maloney, Pak, leg separation. A little loose on the half pirouette. Hit handstand, giant full, nearly stuck double tuck, nice. 9.850

Ohio State maintains its lead after a solid vault rotation, though the Buckeyes would have liked a few more sticks. N.C. State was solid on bars but had a couple errors on overshoot that kept them from really breaking into the mid 49s. On to beam and floor!
