4-Star Recruit eMjae Frazier Commits to California

College Gym News 4-Star recruit eMjae Frazier, a member of the class of 2022, announced her verbal commitment to California Monday. Frazier, who is the younger sister of UCLA junior Margzetta, is a senior international elite who competed at the U.S. Gymnastics Championships in 2019, finishing ninth in the all around in the junior division. Most recently, Frazier represented Team USA and “Team Solidarity” at the 2020 Friendship and Solidarity Friendly Competition in Tokyo, Japan.

Frazier will join an already-talented Golden Bears squad in a class alongside British elite Ondine Achampong and American level 10s Reese Drotar and Zara Waddell Jordan. The class of Nevaeh DeSouza, Maya Green, Natalie Sadighi and Ashton Woodbury will be seniors when Frazier’s class enters college.

The New Jersey native earned 74 points in CGN’s recruit rating system and is likely to jump to five stars upon rerating in the spring of 2021. She excels on vault and floor but has the potential to be a strong all around competitor in college. Stay tuned for a more in-depth exploration of where Frazier might fit into lineups at Cal in our upcoming recruit file.

  1. California is going to be a national championship contender in a few year’s time. Very excited for Justin and Liz and the entire team.
This year they should make nationals and have an outside chance at Team Finals IMO.
