Given the magnitude of Lindenwood’s losses in the 2020 graduating class and the substantial pressure its underclassmen faced this year to fill lineups, the Lions would be forgiven for taking some time to rebuild in 2021. Apparently, they didn’t get the memo, setting a home opener program record, becoming the first USAG team to crack 195.000 this year and widening their lead at in the USAG national standings. This weekend also featured a narrow win over Texas Woman’s for an Anna Kaziska-less SEMO and an…adventure, let’s say, in Berkeley for Air Force.
Routine of the Week
Isabel Goyco, TWU (FX) 9.900
The junior registered her third 9.900 on floor in emphatic fashion against Southeast Missouri. She’s held the Pioneers’ floor lineup together for some time, but this year she found her landings very early in the season and looks prepared to be a team leader.
Stick of the Week
Courtney Mitchell, Lindenwood (VT) 9.850
(Second vault is Mitchell.)
The Lindenwood vault lineup lives and dies by its two Yurchenko Arabians, and senior Mitchell has stuck hers two meets in a row.
