2018 Nastia Liukin Cup Series: Week 5 Qualifiers

We just concluded the fifth week of the Nastia Liukin Cup series, which consists of 18 invitationals, each of which will send one junior (born 2003 or later) and one senior (born 2002 or earlier) to the Cup itself at the beginning of March.

The fifth weekend featured two qualifying meets: Chris Waller’s Heart of a Champion Invitational in California and the Pikes Peak Cup in Colorado.

Heart of a Champion

Sr: Kennedy Quay

  • Qualifying scores: 9.775 | 9.7 | 9.65 | 9.725 | 38.85
  • 2017 NLC qualifier
  • Runner-up on vault and floor at 2017 J.O. nationals

Jr: Tory Vetter

  • Uncommitted (Class of 2021)
  • Qualifying scores: 9.5 | 9.625 | 9.475 | 9.6 | 38.2
  • Qualified in fifth meet as a level 10

Pikes Peak Cup

Sr: Jaedyn Rucker

  • Desert Devils
  • Utah commit (2020 season)
  • Qualifying scores: 10 | 9.3 | 9.475 | 9.675 | 38.45
  • Two-time J.O. nationals qualifier
  • High score of 10.0 on vault, 9.875 on floor.

Jr: Anapaula Gutierrez

  • TIGAR
  • Uncommitted (Class of 2021)
  • Qualifying scores: 9.5 | 9.45 | 9.425 | 9.45 | 37.825
  • Former HOPES and junior elite
  • Qualified to J.O. nationals both years as a level 10
