Arizona September 2015 Training Updates

September 8
Freshman Danielle Spencer performs a back gainer tuck full off the end of the beam. In a world of side gainer fulls and round-off one and a halves, this dismount is a nice change from the norm.

Freshman Lauryn Mattson is training a Yurchenko half on vault, which now only starts from a 9.95 with the new rule modifications. Her goal will be to perform it as cleanly as possible as she will already be at a disadvantage to those competing vaults with 10.0 start values.

Going up, on a Tuesday. ⬆️⬆️ #TumbleTuesday featuring Lauryn!

If the team keeps this up, it’s going to turn heads in 2016. And not just because of its improved gymnastics but for its variety in skills too. On bars, the GymCats have a piked jaeger, straddled jaeger to shoot over, double layout dismount and double Arabian dismount to name a few.

Getting back into the SWING of things. □ #BARcats
